The type of personal information we collect


We currently collect and process the following information:


· Personal identifiers, contacts, and characteristics (for example, name and contact details) – website only


· As we carry out the factfind with the client and seek to source new mortgage solutions, we will need full disclosure of information. This will include, but is not limited to, financial information, employment details, and credit history. In line with our commitment to FCA and the Data Protection Act 2018, all information is stored safely, respecting your data protection rights, and only for the purpose of securing a new mortgage.


· Similarly, in protection cases, we require full disclosure of information. Given the nature of protection cases, we will need to secure health information and health history to provide current quotes on new products. Again, as part of our commitment to FCA and the Data Protection Act 2018, all information is stored securely, solely to assist in providing mortgage solutions.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons: · To help us source new mortgage solutions and/or protection products for you. We may share this financial information with mortgage lenders and protection insurers. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: (a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time by contacting ian@mormortgages.co.uk. (b) We need it to perform a public task. There is no charge for exercising your data protection rights. If you submit a request, we are obligated to respond within one month.
